Huey’s been divorced from the ball-breaking Janice for three years; she brought him nothing but “heartbreak, screaming, bad food and a dead dog.” But despite the zip gun which killed the dog and very nearly Huey himself, as well as a new relationship with the more easy-going Teresa, Huey is convinced that only by reconciling with Janice will his manhood be restored.
Huey calls upon his best friend Aldo Scalicki, a brash, macho-Italian charmer to help win her back. Aldo, seeing his friend’s plight as madness, schemes to save his friend from the reconciliation by seducing the volatile Janice himself–despite the fact she hates him more than she does Huey.
Playwright: John Patrick Shanley's works have won the Academy Award (Moonstruck), as well as the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Drama Desk Award (Doubt).
